Ward Level mid-year population estimates for England and Wales (experimental) - mid-2001 to mid-2007

Added By Infochimps

Shows mid-year estimates for wards. Mid-2001 to mid-2006 ward population estimates are available on two different ward geographies – Census Area Statistics (CAS) wards and Statistical wards, though for 2006 onwards the term ‘Statistical wards’ is no longer used, replaced for 2006 with ‘2006 wards’.CAS wards were used for 2001 Census outputs, and have a ‘frozen’ ward geography, whereas Statistical wards and year specific updated wards are subject to annual boundary change and in general will reflect any ward boundary changes introduced by the end of the preceding year. The mid-2001 CAS and Statistical ward estimates are Census based and reflect adjustments incorporated in the published mid-2001 local authority and Lower Layer Super Output Area population estimates.
