The Bing Maps Routes API is a mapping route creation service. It can create a route that includes two or more locations and to create routes from major roads. You can create driving or walking routes with the map data. Driving routes can include traffic information. You can also overlay routes on map imagery.

The API uses REST and SOAP protocol and responses are formatted in XML, JSON and JSONP.
