Precision: The Local Authority Mid-Year Population Estimates for 2002-2005 were revised on Neighbourhood Statistics in August 2007. As a result this document may be subject to update. The revisions were planned. The Office for National Statistics is undertaking a substantial and long term programme of work to improve the population statistics it produces. Improved methods are being implemented in 2007 which relate to the usually resident population within each Local Authority and the international migration component of these figures.
