Emoji Symbols: Unicode and Mobile Phone code points, icons and icon URLs
Overview
Emoji are those awesomely cute (or annoyingly cutesy) icons that many mobile phones let you insert into messages. Thanks, Japan!
While you browse the data, please enjoy this song that @dianakimball wrote about emoji e-438 / unicode U+1F458 (*), We Are Sitting (Together in Kimonos).
The unicode.org emoji dataset gives Unicode and Mobile Phone code points, icons and icon URLs for each emoji, including both the private and (proposed) public unicode code points. You may also find Softbank’s emoji guide and the site http://www.iemoji.com/ useful.

In the HTML version of this document, each symbol row has an anchor to allow direct linking by appending #e-4B0 (for example) to this page’s URL in the address bar.
- The official name for emoji e-438 is GIRLS DOLL FESTIVAL — it represents Japanese Hinamatsuri or Girl Dolls. But “We Are Sitting Together in Kimonos” is much more poetic.
